Stozia

Stozia is a SaaS tool designed for the IT sector, enabling vendors to sell and buyers to purchase software, hardware, and services.

Project Overview

Project Name: Stozia SaaS Tool

  • Client: Stozia (Private Company)

  • Role: UI Designer

  • Tool: Figma

  • Duration: 4 Weeks

Stozia is a SaaS tool designed for the IT sector, enabling vendors to list, manage, and sell their products (software, hardware, and services) while helping buyers find, evaluate, and purchase the right solutions. My role was to design the entire UI from scratch, ensuring a seamless experience for both vendors and buyers, with an integrated AI assistant to guide users throughout the process.

Problem Statement

For Vendors:

  1. Difficulty in listing products due to complex forms and unclear requirements.

  2. Lack of tools to manage and track sales effectively.

  3. No guidance on how to optimize listings for better visibility and sales.

For Buyers:

  1. Difficulty in finding the right products due to information overload.

  2. Lack of tools to compare and evaluate products effectively.

  3. No guidance on selecting the most suitable solutions for their specific needs.

Goals

  • Create a user-friendly interface for vendors to list and manage their products and services.

  • Ensure an intuitive dashboard for tracking sales, inquiries, and performance metrics.

  • Implement an AI assistant to provide insights, recommendations, and real-time support.

  • Design a seamless transaction flow to reduce friction in the sales process.

  • Improve vendor visibility through optimized product listings and categorization

Research & Discovery

User Research:

  • Conducted interviews with potential users (procurement managers, sales teams, and IT professionals).

  • Identified pain points, such as difficulty in tracking requests, lack of transparency, and inefficient task management.

Competitive Analysis:

  • Studied existing SaaS tools in the procurement and sales space to identify gaps and opportunities.

Key Insights:

  • Users wanted a clean, intuitive interface with minimal learning curve.

  • The AI chatbot was a highly requested feature to assist users in real-time.

  • Users preferred a dashboard that provided quick access to updates and task statuses.

Design Process

Wireframing

  • Focused on simplifying complex processes, such as product listing and request tracking.

  • Created low-fidelity wireframes to map out the user flow for buying, selling, and using the AI chatbot.

Prototyping

  • Developed interactive prototypes using Figma XD] to test the user flow and gather feedback.

  • Iterated on the design based on usability testing with a small group of users.

Iteration

  • Initially struggled to understand the user perspective and the tool’s functionality. After spending time learning about the tool and its use cases, the design process became smoother.

Final Design

  • Designed 50+ screens, including dashboards, product listing pages, request tracking, and AI chatbot interfaces.

  • Focused on a clean, modern aesthetic with intuitive navigation and clear visual hierarchy.

Results & Impact

User Feedback:

  • The client’s customers found the platform easy to use and appreciated the intuitive design.

  • The AI chatbot was particularly well-received for its ability to simplify complex tasks.

Outcome:

  • Successfully delivered a scalable and user-friendly SaaS platform that met the client’s needs.

  • The project helped me grow as a designer by improving my understanding of user perspectives and iterative design processes.

Lessons Learned

  • Iterative Design: Continuous feedback and iteration are crucial to creating a design that satisfies both clients and end-users.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with clients and developers helped me understand the importance of communication and teamwork in design projects.

  • Understanding User Needs: Initially, I struggled to grasp the user perspective, but this project taught me the importance of user research and empathy in design.

Conclusion

Stozia was a challenging yet rewarding project that allowed me to grow as a UI designer. By focusing on user needs, iterating based on feedback, and collaborating effectively, I was able to deliver a design that not only satisfied the client but also provided a seamless experience for end-users. This project reinforced the importance of empathy, adaptability, and persistence in the design process.
